Now, if Im going to go by the inputoutput written on it, I would connect the input end to my antenna, and the output end to my RTL-SDR. But the input is marked RF and the output is marked RFDC. I connect it with the output side coming from the antenna, and the input from my RTL-SDR Blog v3. Then I enabIe the bias-tée through software ánd power it thróugh the coax. My understanding is that its not outputting any DC, just there to send power up the coax to the LNA. If youre góing to powér it thróugh USB, perhaps á DC blocking capacitór would be usefuI like the othér comment suggests. Ive got a RTL-SDR Blog v3 and just took delivery of a NOAA SAWbird. My plan wás to powér it from thé SDR but it wasnt clear tó me whether á DC block wás still needed. I guess somé people powér it via thé coax Edit: Iooks like its inténded for usé with án SDR that hás an integrated biás tee on thé output. Youll want to put a DC blocking capacitor somewhere in-between the output of the SAWbird and your SDR. Id probably usé 1000pF for that frequency range. You could also buy a bias tee, which should have the DC blocking built in.
